While traveling through the Hashberry's farmland, Marty came
up with a brave strategy to deal with the trolls; rather than fighting them one
by one, he suggested the party team up with the boggards and drive the trolls
away under threat of force. The Prince agreed to give it a shot, and pausing
only long enough to hear pleas from the Hashberrys for kingdom inclusion, the
party proceeded to the swamp. The boggards were at first reluctant to ally with
humans, but in time Lex's entreaties wore them down, and bolstered by 20
boggard warriors and their bard translator, the group marched into the swamp.
The troll camp was deserted. Justice took to the air, and quickly found the
monsters camped nearby. When confronted, the troll matriarch, tried to put on a
brave face, but once the Prince's fire came out, their collective will gave way,
and the trolls fled into the neighboring hills.
Victorious, the party returned home to find the new temple
completed. The kingdom's coffers were nearly drained, but the overall mood of
the citizenry was upbeat and hopeful.
Giada had returned during the boy's most recent outing and
counseled that it was time to make for the elven fort.
Hedge took a bad fall in training, but before Marty could be
summoned, his wounds had already miraculously healed under Mjelde's touch.
