Gnoll Assault (Date 1/3/27)

The gnolls charged with nets, while well-armored hunters covered them with elven bows from horseback. Undaunted, Justice and Hedge charged, shattering the gnoll's forward line. Marty threw up a fog and counseled that they follow their fighters. The mounted gnolls were the only true threat, inflicting several serious wounds, but thanks to Marty's healing magic they weren't enough to fell the fighters. Two gnolls tried to steal Marty's horse, but he chased them down on Lex's borrowed mount and retrieved his steed.

Back in the city, the boys resumed their research, continuing to hit strange blocks from the current council and odd gaps in the kingdom's records. Shorty after their return, a nearly naked Yuri Hoyer stumbled into town with another startling tale. This time he claimed that he had been a slave to the gnolls for 2 years, and that he - and other slaves - had just been released by the tribe's "head bitch" as a sign of apology in hopes she might head off a war with the humans. Justice found his claims dubious, but the prince put Yuri up in a house with a modest stipend until he could get back on his feet.

Lex discovered a secret cache of interesting documents in his sister's closet.

Zombie Apocalypse (Date 1/3/23)

The dead crawled forth from the sewers. Crawling and shambling, several fell to Hedge's blade, but it became immediately clear that the numbers were unmanageable. A few lucky, clubbing strikes landed as the party retreated into the nearly solid town-hall-like structure whose bell tower had held the phantom bell that had called the undead forth. Those that died turned to vapor that seeped immediately into the ground. The party retreated to the loft and made a stand until morning, with little more to do than debate theories once the stairwells were closed off. Hedge used his new cloak to traverse the rafters in rat form and found a storeroom of old documents that contained several secrets. The town was once called Coranado's Ferry, and was both a shipping hub and a tourist destination for wealthy citizens. It had been presided over by its own mayor. At dawn (around 5am) the bell reappeared floating high in the tower, and as it tolled seven slow chimes the mass of bodies withdrew into the ground.

The party left town and headed south, aiming for home, but on the second day, a well-armed band of mounted gnolls rushed from cover, barking savage war cries, their nets at the ready.

Corondado's Ferry (Date 1/3/20)

The tower offered several avenues of inquiry, but many of them seemed to lead to dead or dried-up ends. In fact, many on the council seemed to have a blind-spot for even the tower itself. Now seemingly ensconced in its new home near the castle, the tower made hints of city across the lake. General Mecklan said no city existed in recent memory, but that if anything was over there the fisher folk would know. Sure enough, a few helpful hours pulling in fishing nets, earned Justice a fisherman's tale of a haunted city on the northern shore where the lake drained away toward the gorge. None who entered there ever returned.

The party made a quick stop over to ensure the boggards had enough gold to pay the troll tax for 2 months, bid farewell to their loved ones and set off along the Old Road west. On the way, they encountered a band of gnoll fishermen, but avoided a fight, even going so far as to give them back their daily catch.

After some debate, a side trip was made to the gorge. There, they found the remains of the great bridge; two immense towers with short spans reaching out into the impossibly vast expanse, their ends shattered as if by a tremendous force. Nesting in the walls of the gorge was a large community of gnolls. These gnolls were similarly avoided. A large flying creature was spotted over the south end of the gorge.

Using Strom's power, the group forded the rushing river and made their way to the city. Cloaked in fog and crawling with vermin, the place looked inhospitable and very dangerous, but scarcely haunted. That is until, night began to fall and the empty clock tower somehow managed to toll and all around the city came alive with groaning, crawling, staggering undead horrors!

Narlock's Secrets (Date 1/3/12)

The monster was dispatched quickly, dealing only minor damage well within Marty's ability to heal, and the remainder of the tower was quickly searched. Discovered were a ballroom containing a magical harpsichord (though badly out of tune), a scribing room with magical ink and copious notes, and a library with a pair of magical tomes and a fastidious invisible librarian. The ballroom had several tapestries showing, among other things, elves at court and a city on the north side of the lake. They also found a hidden portrait of the Euwyn's great-great-great grandmother Lunette behind a portrait of Narlock the elder. The group agreed to attempt to sleep in the tower and the night passed without incident, that is until Euwyn awoke to a strange buzzing sound and a peculiar trick of the light that seemed to fold into the corner of the room. He dismissed it as "seeing things" and moved on.

Opening the final door through magic and will, they found a luxurious bedroom with a life like doll inside. The doll also resembled Lunette, but the magic animating her had dwindled over time. The party removed the doll's magic dress and stowed her under the covers with awkward care.

With many magical items to identify and mysteries to explore the group left the tower and headed to their various homes. Hedge and Justice discussed reconstituting the cavalier legions of Malwan, Marty tried out his new cape before having more sober and thorough sex with Lumi, and Euwyn discovered that the dress was glamered to appear as any dress the wearer desired. But could a doll have desires!

Magic Tower (Date 1/3/10)

Town was much as they had left it. The council was meeting to discuss what to do with their new windfall, and Euwyn gave into his friend's cajoling and sided with the temple upgrade. Lex disagreed with the Prince's "political decision", but it was already done.

On his way home, Lex spotted the mysterious tower once again, this time in close proximity to the castle. He immediately went to tell the prince, who, having just come into a new level of power, gathered the group to see if they could now unlock its secrets. Giada was noticeably absent, having returned home to check in with her family, leaving a caution behind, "Do NOT explore the old fort!"

The prince's new magic's opened the outer door and inside the group found many wonders; a dancing coatrack with 4 magic cloaks, a mysterious room with a paralyzing magic ward, one-way magic windows not visible from the outside,  references to a place called the Sky Tower said to be in the northern hills, and an angel guarding the top floor. They found a magic harp and an enchanted bottle on display, but the place was not without its perils. A fire elemental struck from a faulty magic fireplace, and - though easily defeated - revealed a deep-seated terror from Justice's past. Then while exploring the guest rooms on the 3rd floor, a bizarre one-legged, one-armed, axe-wielding horror burst from a bureau and attacked!

Unintended Consequences (Date 1/3/7)

Marty's party came off better than he could have dreamed. Drinking and dancing - by all save Justice - culminated in a sloppy, gropefest in an upstairs bedroom with Lumi that counted as a passage to adulthood for both participants. Even Lex and Giada finally consummated a years' long flirtation. Euwyn and Mjelde slept alone while Hedge dozed in his armor on the communal landing, and Justice sat guard on the porch until he eventually succumbed to one-eyed slumber.

Justice woke to full alert some hours later, hearing odd stirrings in the night. He went to investigate and was overwhelmed by and enemy possessing superior numbers and magic.

The rest of the party awoke when the house was surrounded by howling horsemen hurling lanterns and flasks of oil through several windows. Chaos followed with Hedge and Giada nearly dying, when the true enemy showed himself. One of Bartok's men, an adept named Dravo, was seeking redress for his master's death and for the simple fact that the Prince was allowed to openly utilize magic where he had felt the need to hide his curse or be thought a freak. The prince was subdued and dragged from the house where Dravo prepared to execute him by beheading mere steps from where Bartok had perished, only the timely arrival of the mortally wounded, but still kicking, Justice save the prince's life.

Stashing the girls and the wounded Justice with the locals, the party tracked the injured men to a nearby farmhouse where they scared Dravo into flight, put his horse to sleep and cut him down. The rest of his men fled, save for one who begged the prince not to execute his family for their involvement. Euwyn was a little taken aback by this sentiment, realizing he had a bit of reputation for tyranny in these parts.

Gathering up the girls, the group returned home. Marty began pushing Mjelde toward religion over assassin as a new career, and Giada renewed her push to return home if the Prince wasn't going to head for the fort after all.

Crime Syndicate (Date 1/3/5)

Roman's Hideout turned out to be a sight for illegal gambling and underground fights. Wisely scouting out the place before charging in, the party discovered that the warehouse contained nearly 30 people and several crime bosses. Justice informed them Shelby was on her way with back up, and they decided to wait. When Shelby stormed the place with a dozen guards, they circled around back and managed to capture Kiros Ismort, a local smuggler who fell quickly to prince Euwyn's magic. The group eventually returned the man's captured sword. It was discerned that Roman was holding a meeting between the town's criminal elements to deal with the fallout of the death of Radek. Using Lex's guile the party attempted to sow distrust among the bosses in hopes they would fight each other.

Justice had some cross words with an old friend named Chesapeake, and tracked the man down that night to pay him in fists for insults to the prince's honor taking a few blows himself in the exchange.

Lumi persuaded Marty to get Mjelde out of jail, and she was remanded over to the party's protection. Mjelde has turned over a new leaf and is now a devout follower of Strom. Though Hedge is also working to train her as a courtesan/assassin.

The group road out to the manor house and had a huge drunken party. Justice stood hate-watch and Giada danced while Hedge showed Mjelde how easy it was to murder drunken people. Marty/Lumi & Lex/Giada got laid, while Justice slept on the porch bitterly on watch.

Wolf Piper (Date 1/2/30)

The wolves were powerful opponents. As the first one engaged, the rest of the pack appeared out of the darkness, twisting and growing as they came. During the battle, the mysterious piper drew close, but fled as the wolves fell. The party was too fast for him, however, and overtook the monstrosity before he could reach the water. It was the same type of creature that the trio had battled in the warehouse months earlier wielding a similar coral flute. Marty insisted the thing be buried on the spot.

The party returned to the city and began planning the festivities for Marty's birthday celebration. Hedge took an interest in Mjelde's health and safety, and went searching for her with Lumi, but did not press the issue when she was not easily found. Justice sought out Giada and Lex to help him get back at his old entourage for ditching him. Lex investigated the Bubsy family history, and discovered that Giovanni looked to be trying to acquire the gnome's resources.

Mjelde showed up at the temple in tears claiming that she had been used as a pawn by Roman to lure a rival gang leader out to be murdered. Marty gathered the team to investigate. Justice dropped Mjelde off at headquarters, and tried to get the proper authorities to investigate the matter, but Marty would not be deterred.

Racing ahead of the city guard, the group headed for Roman's hideout....

Chop Suey (Date: 1/2/27)

It was decided. In three day's time the party would embark on a weeklong expedition to find and investigate the ancient, abandoned fort in the forest. All that remained was to gather supplies, check in with friends and family and say farewells. When Marty told Lumi the news, the young blacksmith expressed her sorrow that he would be going so soon and that he would even be gone for his birthday. This changed everything! The expedition was put on hold and in its stead, the group decided to investigate the haunted theater. It was still haunted and also the sight of gang fights during the day. Roman was spotted, but ran off before he could be apprehended.

Once the ruffians were dealt with, Euwyn claimed the theater as his own, placed guards at the entrances and hired a cleanup crew. The group labored through the day until sunset when the ghost manifested and her fear aura cleared the room. Lex, Marty and Hedge snuck back in to find the ghost weeping in the dressing room, but upon approaching her, she turned vicious and attacked. The trio fled again, and it was agreed that the place be boarded up again until a lasting answer could be discovered. Lex did a little research, and a dream reminded him that the same family likely owned the Busby Theater and the Busby Mine; a family of gnomes who left the area over 30 years ago as the economy began to fail.

Justice went to check in with his old gang, but discovered they were ditching him to hang at Junkers. By reports, they now felt he was too important to care about them anymore.

Finally the band decided to investigate the hills on the far side of the lake, but found little of interest other than some squat fishing huts and the three-river junction. While camping the final night, the party was distracted by wolf calls. Giada said not to worry, but Lex detected an odd accompaniment. There was the hauntingly familiar sound of a bizarre woodwind instrument matching the wail of the canines. As he leapt to his feet to investigate, Lex spied a large wolf bounding over the nearby hills on course for the camp. As it came, its body swelled and distended until it had grown to immense proportions, nearly eight feet at the shoulder! Blood burning in its eyes, it charged!

Ambush! (Date: 1/2/20)

Hot on the trail for a night and a day, Giada and Lex let their guard slip, and what was thought to be yet-another-snare-trap turned out to be a goblin bomb which exploded in Giada's face. She fell to the ground still burning. Lex ran to aid her, smothering the flames with his cloak just before arrows shot out of the trees dropping him as well. Then the party arrived in force and the tide turned quickly. Marty saved Lex and Giada with the power of Strom, allowing Giada to make two heroic shots, each felling a goblin, before being taken down again by others. The fighters took their share of scratches, but in the end, only a pair of goblins lived to flee into the woods. Justice summoned his trusty steed, Atlas, and gave chase!

Galloping through the thick tree cover and brush was a challenge, but with his mounted speed advantage and reckless disregard for his own safety, Justice was able to keep the goblin firestarter in sight, chasing him into a clearing where a horde of goblins waited. Their leader was Longlegs, a goblin who - true to reports - stood as tall as a man, though his torso was slightly truncated in comparison to his legs. Other goblins stood out including a red-eye alchemist and a white-skinned female with eyes of power and toad riding on her shoulder. Longlegs professed he wanted nothing but peace with humans and gave the traitor over to be killed. Euwyn professed - on Marty's suggestion - that peace would reign as long as Longlegs was in charge.

The party retreated to town. Malwan claimed another hex. Justice agreed to keep an eye on Giada. Giada was talked out of leaving by Euwyn who convinced her to lead the party to the old fort.

Goblin Battle (Date: 1/2/16)

Hiking into the woods, following Giada's lead, the group seeks the camp of the raiding goblins. At the first night's rest, Giada sneaks into Lexington's tent and expresses her concern over Marty's powers and disposition. Lexington states that things are changing, that something important seems to be approaching, considering Euwyn's powers as well. Giada adds that she's not really concerned with Euwyn's abilities, given that his head seems to be in the right place. She asks if Lex is "with her". Which he confirms. But when she tries to get physical, Lex rebukes her, stating his feeling are too real for a casual grope fest. Giada seems surprised, but doesn't force the issue.

The party finds the goblin camp and attacks. The battle is fierce with the goblin's numbers threatening to overwhelm the party, until Marty calls a cloud of mist to cloak them and the goblins flee. Giada is caught outside the mist and nearly killed, but Marty arrives in time to save her.

Heading into the goblin camp proper, the band finds the goblin leader and the other survivors gathering up valuables, but they are quickly routed and sent fleeing into the woods. After securing any items of value that look to belong to the Jaldor farm, the party pursues...

Polygamists and Goblins (Date: 1/2/14)

Returning home from the swamp, Euwyn and company stopped by the Drywell estate where they found Giada waiting for them. She had recently returned from a trip home to find the boys had put their plan to use their power to fix the kingdom into action. A quick party ensued with wine, a bonfire and dancing, and Giada gave Marty a pleasant surprise. Euwyn also nearly wound up sharing a bed with the elf when room designations weren't clearly assigned.

The group decided to make for Jaldor farm where they found a large compound surrounded by an earthen rampart. Upon entering, they were greeted by Andrion Jaldor and his extended family. After some tense debate over trespassing and warning signs, the group retreated beyond the fence and a civil discussion ensued. Andrion explained he had been having trouble with goblins of late. Said the nearby tribe were led by a tall goblin by the name of Longlegs who stood "nearly as tall as a man." He welcomed assistance but expressed concern that the return of the empire might be a problem for his current living arrangement. Euwyn said, "no problem", but Marty said, "No, problem!" A fractious argument followed nearly ending the campaign, but in the end cooler heads prevailed, and it was agreed to shelve the issue of the Jaldor polygamy and first deal with the goblin situation.

Meet the Boggards (Date: 1/2/12)

No sooner had the band arrived at the Hashberry Farm and surrounding lands than tragedy struck, a child had been snatched by a raiding party of boggards. Our heroes had barely enough time to discern that this occurrence was unusual before leaping into action. Chasing down the slow-moving frogmen, Euwyn and company killed all but one of the creatures and brought back the prisoner and rescued child to the farmlands.

The Hashberry were ecstatic at the rescue and explained that the boggards had for some time been pressing on their lands wherein the past they had existed side-by-side with little hostility. Euwyn used his magic to communicate with the prisoner and convinced him to lead the party into the swamp to speak with their leaders. 3-days into the morass, the party was beset by soldiers who captured the band and led them to boggard village. There a boggard who could speak rough common communicated that the boggards were being forced to pay tribute to a squad of fire-resistant trolls who lived to the north.

Euwyn gave the boggards 200 gp to pay this month's tribute in exchange for a promise not to prey upon the humans. He also promised to seek a resolution to the troll issue.

The Kingdom Claims its 1st Hex (Date: 1/2/8)

A fortune in coins (well 8,000 gp worth) was found in Bartok's guest mattress. While wondering how to deal with the massive weight of coinage, Marty went and rounded up the remaining toughs, assuring them amnesty if they cooperated. By the time the priest returned with his new charges, he arrived to find that Hedge had severed one of Bartok's fingers and was being severely reprimanded for his transgression. Prince Euwyn addressed the men laying out the terms of his new arrangement before beheading Bartok to hammer home his point. The men were sent to collect the local famers, while the party debated the prince's action and what to do with the newfound wealth. Euwyn kept the manor and a pair of the toughs failed to return (having been turned into bandits by a subplot). The farmers were asked to cultivate the land in Euwyn's name in exchange for 1/2 of the proceeds.

The band returned to the palace and explained the new arrangement. The toughs were sent to guard the forest road and Malwan laid claim to the Bartok farm and surrounding lands. Marty found that Lumi was settling in well to her new job and coming along quickly with getting the forge up and running. They shared a fun night on the town to celebrate.

No rest for the weary, the band set off to the Hashberry farm next to the swamp, arriving to discover that the trouble with Boggards was indeed real. In fact, a child had just been kidnapped!

Bartok (Date: 1/2/4)

Lex returned to Malwan, surprised to find Euwyn appointed Marshal instead of Magister. Marty followed through with his promise to get Lumi a job, though his notion of getting her hired as a castle maid morphed into a position refurbishing the nation's forge. Lumi was overjoyed and set to work as the boys borrowed horses from the stable and road to confront Bartok Drywell.

About a day's ride out of town the band encountered a roadblock at the gates to the Drywell farm and ranch. The men there offered to take the entourage to meet the man himself. Bartok greeted them from his porch, and after some blustering, things came to blows. The fight was hard-hitting but brief, ending abruptly once Marty and Euwyn unveiled their magic powers. Bartok fled into the manor continuing to resist until faced with overwhelming odds. Marty made some new converts from among Bartok's thugs when he mended their wounds by Strom's might. The healed men accused Bartok of hoarding money from the farmers and paying them a pittance.

Return and New Mission (Date: 1/2/2)

After debating over several potential strategies, Prince Euwyn eventually decided to play it straight with the Lumber Consortium, presenting the arrangement as a business deal to benefit all. This tactic went over surprisingly well, with Antionne's only stipulation being that his daughter suffer no prosecution for any perceived transgressions against the crown. Lex was left behind to sort out the details and the party hired a young woodsman named Francis who guided them back to the lake road for quicker transit back to town.

They arrived to find the council in session. The treasury had run dry. The timely influx of silk should be enough to keep them afloat at present day levels for approximately 4 months. Euwyn nominated himself for the position of Warden and was elected over the King's objections by a 4 - 3 vote with one abstention.

Opposed:
King
Kuto Radacek
Father Haddad
For:
Ilora
Shena
Giuseppe
Shelby
Abstain:
Regar

Kuto spoke briefly with the Prince warning of several threats to the kingdom.

Euywyn went to tell Marty, but the young priest said he would need to think about it before agreeing to go this time. Tiaco warned Euwyn that he was losing his friends with all his super-serious superiority, and suggested he might try treating Marty with the same sort of respect he expected for himself, being that the young man was similarly gifted. Euwyn resolved to think on it.

Marty and Justice went out drinking and carousing with Hedge in tow. Marty rescued, Lumi, the blacksmith's daughter from a life of prostitution. He gave her 5 gold to pay the rent. They shared the night together and resolved to meet up in 7 days. Justice refused to get drunk and have a good time with Mjelde, shooing the girl off after a stinging slap. Hedge and Justice passed out on the steps of the shrine.

In the morning everyone met up at those steps and agreed to head to the farmlands and investigate the situation concerning one Bartok Drywell once Lex returns.

Webworms (Date: 1/1/25)

Marty suggested the party retrieve Lothar and Drova to battle the webworms, and though Lothar was reluctant, Drova agreed readily and the group delved deeper into the woods.

The worms proved larger than imagined and - if possible - both more and less dangerous than feared. After a few tense moments the worms were defeated with the party escaping with little more than a few irritating rashes. Marty's use of a mist to cloak the party from the giant worm's reach proved highly beneficial, and likely saved them from more severe losses.

During the fight, Euwyn fell to a worm bite and for a flashing moment, Drova seemed torn about where to plant her ax. Marty saw the hesitation in the young girl's face and fell to shield the prince while healing him with the power of Strom. A verbal rebuke seemed to snap Drova out of her distraction and she renewed her attack on the worm, helping Hedge finish it off.

Afterward, while Marty was healing the group (Drova included) accusations were made, and Drova accused Euwyn of being responsible for her brother's death. Things got heated, faggot was spit as a venomous insult, and the party asked Drova to leave, which she did.

Realizing the silk left by the worms was a valuable commodity, the party returned to talk with the Dryads, confirming their agreement on this end before heading to speak with the lumber consortium.

Dryads (Date: 1/1/23)

The party proceeded deeper into the woods in the company of Lothar and Drova as representatives of the Lumber Consortium and guides. Accosted by a giant porcupine, Justice nearly died to a surprisingly powerful blow to the head. Martin was able to pull him back from the brink with his healing magic. Drova finished off the beast with her greataxe.

The party then proceeded into the fey lands but was delayed by a torrential downpour. While Marty knelt in the rain and prayed to Strom, a powerful lethargy fell over the party leaving only Justice awake.  He was then seized by a magical compulsion and wandered into the woods. Awakening in a groove of 12 trees predominated by a quartet of ancient oaks, Justice spoke with 4 dryads who warned him to leave their forest untouched. Justice carried the warning back to the party, but Marty refused to accept leaving as an option. Warning that the kingdom wanted more wood, that it needed more wood if it was to thrive. and that if they didn't negotiate some sort of arrangement with the Dryads the kingdom would need to send troops to destroy the fey creatures. At this point dryads appeared and made a deal. Help them with the worms who are destroying their trees and are resistant to their mind-effecting magic, and they will consider expanding the regions of the forest open to logging.

Meeting the Consortium (Date: 1/1/20)

The party moved along through the forest, in short order making contact with a contingent heading to Malwan to address the King. Instead, they all went to meet Antionne, father of Gaston, and head of the Lumber Consortium. One member whispered to the Prince that all would be well if the Antionne was eliminated and new leadership installed. The meeting with Antionne did not go well, but eventually the party agreed to investigate problems plaguing to forest folk.

Marty invited Drova Tyrelle to come with them. Surprisingly she agreed.

Revelations: Gaston may have been gay. Antionned believes the Prince made him so. The Prince confessed to having had feelings for Gaston, though he claims nothing came of it.

Hedge's Arrival (Date: 1/1/14)

Young Prince Euwyn’s adventures had a rocky start. Though his father got the council to agree in principle to take things slowly while Euwyn and Marty developed their powers, each member couldn’t resist approaching them - either directly or through agents like Lex and Justus - with their suggestions about how best to use these new found powers to help restore Malwan to greatness. Euwyn took these suggestions in stride, but had his own agenda to pursue. Unfortunately attempts over several days to gain access to the teleporting, warded wizard’s tower proved fruitless.

Eventually Marty felt the need to spur the Prince to greater action. First he began preaching and doing miracles in the street, then healing people who showed up to the shrine, and finally counseling that the group head out to make peace with the Lumber Consortium. Not 2 hours into the woods, the Prince spied a magic portal that exploded with monsters (later dubbed skum) and a warrior from Hokkaido. Just when it seemed the bleached monsters were about to overwhelm the young adventurers, they seemed to go mad, attacking each other, screaming gibberish and pawing at the air, and - in one case - simply exploding. Their bodies melted into viscous goo that seeped into the ground leaving only confused questions and the displaced warrior behind. Calling himself, Hedge, the warrior swore fealty to Marty, and the group pressed on into the woods.

Giada's Visit (Date: 1/1/10)

After some discussion, Marty and Euwyn agree that Marty should go first and announce his special powers as a sort of “test run” to see how the kingdom will react. While the initial reception is overly positive, both boys are worried that Marty’s freedom might begin to be curtailed as the debate on how to proceed moves into its 2nd day. Marty and the Prince sneak out with Justus in tow to go check on Lex’s status.

Having recovered from his fever but still suffering the damages it rout, Lex is home recuperating when an old friend, Giada, stops by for a visit. Before the 2 can begin catching up, the runaway trio from the castle arrives. Giada convinces them all to go hunting, in the woods. The set off and encounter a small group of young men who claim to be members of the Lumber Consortium and after some macho posturing the group is scared off. Giada tries to get the boys to make for the lake, but sensing a growing reluctance, instead runs off with Marty. The others give chase during which Giada tackles the prince, who again rebukes her advances. The 2 talk things over in a tree where Giada asks what he plans to do with his newfound power. Euwyn professes a wish to use his powers to help the kingdom of Malwan.

Eventually the pair is found by their pursuers and the entourage begins to head home, whereupon they bump into Shelby and the guards who have been sent to collect them. Taken back before his father, Prince Euwyn declares his powers before the council.

Magic Relics (Date: 1/1/8)

Having recovered from their bouts of filth fever after a week of bed rest, Euwyn and Marty met to discuss their next move only to find they were being spied upon by an agent of Marshal Shelby Oborne, a cavalier aspirant named simply Justus. They called him out and together the trio set out to check on Lex’s condition. Finding he had not recovered, they followed Tiaco, who pointed out some lingering magically stained places within city walls. The forgotten mage’s tower and a haunted theater. At the theater, they encountered a pair of young women (Lumi and Mjelde) awaiting a liaison. When the gang showed up and a fight began to brew, the ghost presented herself and cleared the hall of all save Lumi, Marty and Roman (the gang leader). Roman later left of his own accord, but Marty and Lumi stayed until the ghost dissipated. At which point, Lumi ran home and the boys returned to the library to investigate the theater.

The Busby Theater has lain abandoned for 25 years since it closed its doors due to poor attendance and falling revenues, many claiming it’s simply too large for the city anymore. Since then, its only purported occupant was an old, mad woman thought to perhaps have been one of the former acting troupe, but no reports of her “chasing off vandals and trespassers with a stage sword” have been made in at lest 7 years.

Breaking Out (Date: 1/1/1)

Euwyn, Lex and Martin explore an abandoned warehouse where their powers begin to manifest. The warehouse is infested with rats and dire rats controlled by a bizarre humanoid creature with tranparent skin and milky eyes playing haunting tunes on a coral woodwind in a magically concealed smugglers basement.

All 3 boys contract filth fever and are laid up after the incident, but choose to say nothing about their involvement.
